Bankruptcy Means Luxury

Everybody's favorite poster-child for financial responsibility, Detroit, decided to open a new splash park. You know, it doesn't cost money because "it's for the kids".

Funny thing is, for a splash park, you need water. Lots of it.

While inexpensive, water isn't free.

But you know Detroit. Just because the water wasn't working properly, that won't stop them from wasting more resources to get water to the location. A broken water main led to the mayor calling the fire department in to come hose off the kids.

Good for the kids. Another poor example of utilizing resources by a once great city.
